Eco Your Way provides wellbeing education, resources and tools, including ECO Wellness Companion.
Companion helps you decide what to focus on and take practical everyday actions across Nutrition, Exercise, Rest and Stress Management using the NERS Framework.
Companion is designed as a wellbeing and educational tool. It is not a medical service and is not intended to diagnose, treat, cure or prevent any disease or medical condition.
2. Information You Enter Into Companion
Privacy is an important part of how Companion is designed.
Information you enter into Companion is designed to be stored locally on the device and browser you use to access Companion.
This may include:
- NERS check-in responses
- Areas you choose to focus on
- Actions you select or create
- Journal entries and reflections
- Meal, pantry or nutrition-related entries
- Movement, rest and stress-management activities
- Your Companion history
- Other personal information you choose to enter into Companion
Eco Your Way does not store this personal Companion content in your Eco Your Way account or on Eco Your Way servers.
Your Companion entries remain on the device and browser where you use Companion.
3. What Local Storage Means for You
Because your personal Companion information is stored locally, it is associated with the device and browser you use.
This means your Companion information may not automatically appear if you:
- Use Companion on another device
- Change phones or computers
- Use a different browser
- Clear your browser or website data
- Reset your device
- Delete locally stored data
These actions may result in the loss of some or all of your locally stored Companion information.
If Companion offers a backup, export or restore feature, you may choose to use that feature to maintain your own copy of your information.
Unless we expressly tell you otherwise when offering such a feature, Eco Your Way does not keep a server copy of your personal Companion entries.
4. Information Eco Your Way May Collect
Although personal Companion entries remain on your device, Eco Your Way may collect other information necessary to operate our website, store, communications and access to our services.
Depending on how you interact with us, this may include:
- Your name
- Email address
- Contact information you choose to provide
- Account or access information
- Free or Paid Companion access status
- Purchase and subscription information
- Customer-service communications
- Information you submit through website forms
- Information you submit through an Eco Your Way quiz
- Technical information necessary to operate and secure our website and services
We aim to collect only information reasonably necessary for these purposes.
5. Companion Account and Access Information
Companion may use an account, email address or other access mechanism to determine whether you are authorized to use Free or Paid Companion features.
Account and access information is separate from the personal wellbeing information you enter into Companion.
For example, Eco Your Way may need to know that an account has access to Paid Companion without receiving the person's journal entries, NERS check-ins or other personal Companion content.

When you visit our website or use online Eco Your Way services, certain technical information may be generated automatically.
Depending on the technology being used, this may include:

We do not intend to include the contents of your private Companion entries, journal entries or NERS responses in analytics or advertising data.

If you complete an Eco Your Way Wellness Quiz, information you submit through that Quiz may be used to provide educational guidance and help identify areas of Nutrition, Exercise, Rest and Stress Management that may be relevant to you.
Quiz results are educational and are not a medical diagnosis.
The Quiz should not be used as a substitute for professional medical evaluation, diagnosis or treatment.
Where Quiz information is collected by Eco Your Way rather than stored only on your device, we will handle it in accordance with this Privacy Policy.
9. Purchases and Payments
Purchases made through Eco Your Way may be processed by our ecommerce and payment service providers.
Payment providers may collect information necessary to process your transaction.
Eco Your Way does not need to receive or store your complete payment-card number when payment information is handled directly by our payment provider.

We aim to provide service providers only with information reasonably necessary for the services they perform.
Because personal Companion entries are designed to remain locally on your device, Eco Your Way does not provide the contents of those locally stored entries to service providers.
We may also disclose information when reasonably necessary to comply with applicable law, respond to lawful legal process, investigate fraud or security incidents, protect the rights or safety of Eco Your Way or others, or complete a legitimate business transaction subject to applicable privacy requirements.
13. Sensitive Wellbeing Information
Information about nutrition, sleep, stress, menstrual or reproductive wellbeing and other personal experiences can be sensitive.
Companion is intentionally designed so that personal information you enter into its private tools remains locally on your device rather than being stored as part of an Eco Your Way account.
You decide what information you want to enter into Companion.
We encourage you not to enter information that you do not want stored on your device.
14. Security
Eco Your Way uses reasonable administrative and technical measures designed to protect personal information that we collect and maintain.
We also design Companion with data minimization in mind by keeping personal Companion content on the user's device rather than collecting that information centrally.
However, no website, browser, device, transmission method or storage system can be guaranteed to be completely secure.
You are responsible for maintaining appropriate security for your own device, including controlling access to your device and browser.
15. Data Retention
Eco Your Way retains information we collect for as long as reasonably necessary to provide our services, fulfill the purposes described in this policy, meet legal and accounting obligations, resolve disputes, prevent fraud and enforce our agreements.
Personal Companion entries stored locally on your device are not subject to Eco Your Way's server retention practices because Eco Your Way does not maintain those entries on its servers.
Free and Paid versions of Companion may provide different periods of access to locally stored history or features.
Deleting locally stored Companion information from your device may be permanent unless you have created your own backup using an available backup or export feature.
16. Your Privacy Choices and Rights
Depending on where you live and applicable law, you may have rights regarding personal information Eco Your Way holds about you.
These may include rights to:

- Request deletion of eligible information

Please understand that Eco Your Way cannot retrieve, access or delete personal Companion information that exists only in local storage on your device. You can manage that information through Companion or your device/browser controls, as applicable.

Marketing emails will include a way to unsubscribe.

Personal Companion content that remains solely on your device is not transferred to Eco Your Way merely because you use Companion from another country.

Eco Your Way and ECO Wellness Companion are intended for adults age 18 and older.
We do not knowingly collect personal information through Companion from anyone under 18.
