Our Story

It started with a question nobody could answer

Eco Your Way grew from a question its founder kept coming back to: with so much advice about what to change, where do I actually begin?

That question became the foundation for the NERS Framework and, later, ECO Wellness.

Where it began

For years, Nadine Josephs lived with irregular, heavy and prolonged periods. After multiple pelvic and abdominal ultrasounds, she learned she was dealing with polycystic ovary syndrome, hypermenorrhea, anemia and uterine fibroids.

Those experiences reached far beyond her menstrual cycle. They affected her energy, comfort, confidence and how she moved through an ordinary week.

There was no shortage of advice. Eat differently. Exercise more. Sleep better. Manage stress. Each suggestion focused on one part of wellbeing, but Nadine still needed help understanding how the pieces worked together and where to begin.

“I was not short of information. I was short of a place to begin.”

Nadine Josephs, PhD

Eco Your Way was created to help close that gap.

The Method

Four areas considered together

The NERS Framework brings Nutrition, Exercise, Rest and Stress Management together. Instead of treating them as four unrelated projects, it helps women see how one area may affect another and choose a place to begin without changing everything at once.

Nutrition

Everyday nourishment that supports energy and overall wellbeing.

Exercise

Movement that can be adjusted to your energy, ability and stage of life.

Rest

Sleep, recovery and the pauses your body and mind need throughout the day.

Stress Management

Practical ways to respond to pressure and support yourself during demanding seasons.

Poor sleep may make movement harder. Stress may affect rest and eating habits. Low energy may change what feels possible that day. The four NERS pillars work together, but the most helpful starting point will not be the same for every woman.

ECO Wellness

How the NERS Framework became ECO Wellness

Nadine did not create ECO Wellness to give women another list of rules. She created it to make the NERS Framework useful in everyday life, with different ways to learn, take action and get more support depending on what a woman needs.

1 A question Where do I begin? 2 A framework Four areas, considered together 3 ECO Wellness Built from the framework
It went in that order. The framework grew from a real question, and ECO Wellness grew from the framework.

Behind the work

Lived experience, research and specialized training

Nadine brings together personal experience, healthcare research and specialized hormonal wellbeing training. That combination shapes ECO Wellness and the NERS Framework while staying clear about the limits of lifestyle guidance.

ECO Wellness does not diagnose or treat medical conditions. It does not promise a particular outcome or ask women to follow restrictive plans. ECO Wellness resources are educational and wellness-focused, and women are encouraged to speak with a qualified healthcare professional about medical conditions and new, severe or persistent symptoms.

A little more about us

Eco Your Way began as a sustainability business, which is where the name first came from. Over time, the work followed the questions women in the community were asking, and hormonal wellbeing became the focus.

The commitment to caring for people and community did not disappear. Eco Your Way has supported tree planting, produce donations and women experiencing period poverty.

Today, the name also reflects a simple belief: wellbeing should not require becoming someone else. You can learn, begin and grow in your own way.
